Val doesn’t do fake, sugarcoated therapy—she keeps it real, honest, and sometimes a little messy, just like life. To her, therapy should feel like a conversation, not a chore, and definitely not a lecture.

As a first-generation child of immigrants from Queens, she understands what it’s like to carry expectations, push through stigma, and feel the pressure to have it all together. But the truth is—you don’t. Val creates a space where clients can show up exactly as they are—lost, confused, overwhelmed, or all of the above. Whether they’re unraveling trauma, battling anxiety, or just trying to survive the chaos, she’s in it with them. No nonsense, no judgment—just real support and space to breathe.

She knows that healing isn’t linear, and it certainly isn’t easy. Parenthood, trauma, and major life shifts can shake a person to their core, often feeling like trying to put out a fire with a leaky bucket. But no one has to do it alone. With Val, clients sort through the chaos, make sense of it all, and find what actually works for them. No clichés—just real talk, deep work, and meaningful change.

Life can be brutal, beautiful, and rarely makes sense. But Val believes no one is broken or truly stuck. Together, she helps clients dig deep, rewrite the narratives that no longer serve them, and carve out space for healing that actually feels doable. No toxic positivity, no pretending—just raw, real work with someone who truly gets it.

Over her career, Val has worked extensively with marginalized communities in settings such as community mental health, residential crisis centers, residential treatment, and healthcare. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Cedar Crest College and earned her Master’s in Social Work from Marywood University in 2009. Val is deeply committed to inspiring hope and confidence, helping her clients tap into their resilience and inner strength to overcome adversity.
